The Selter (L’Abri) broaches the relationship between the end of an era and its rebirth through creation. The refuge is viewed both as a protective place and a moment of transition towards a new world. In a suspended time, the works are tuned together to build a new story around the notions of archive, preservation, cycle and nostalgia. L’Abri is imagined as a horizon, everything meets our gaze there, yet everything doesn’t fill as much space within our visual field.

The exhibition catalogue will offer a new approach to the works and the concepts developed, through texts written by the organising students, art critics including Guillaume Désanges, Françoise Docquiert, François Quintin, François Michaud and Anaël Pigeat.
To complement the show, the curators planned a series of meetings with artists, collectors and actors in the cultural word.
